Hey gang.
I'm new to the app. I have been using the trial of Serato DJ, waiting for my DDJ-SX to arrive. I have a question, please don't flame me though. I'm a hobbyist DJ and usually only DJ for friends and family. At those parties in the past, I've utilized the AutoDJ features in Mixxx to give me a break from DJ'ing while at these parties (visiting with friends, eating, drinking, etc). The AutoDJ feature in Mixxx is nice. I can build a list of songs in the interface, then enable AutoDJ and and a fade time and it does some poor man mixing for me while taking a break. I don't see (or I am missing) how I would do this with Serato DJ. I see the autoplay feature but it doesn't seem to do any sort of fading between songs or alternating between decks. It just waits for a song to end, loads another in the deck, starts the play, pretty rough transitions as you can imagine. Right now I'm just using iTunes for this feature, using a smart playlist and turning on the fading feature in iTunes but I would prefer to do this with Serato DJ (being that I just spent a ton of cash on this setup). Am I missing something here or can you guys offer any suggestions? Free Auto Dj Software
